Life is looking up

Life is looking up
Thursday 5-9-13

This morning was off to a great start when we actually had our driver show up! We taught our classes with smooth sailing and then got taken back home. I wasn't too bummed about missing the lunch today. I still have been feeling sluggish. I can't figure out what it is exactly that’s weighing me down but it’s hard to shake off.
We came back to the school and I just lay down in my bed. I was hoping to be able to sleep it off but I wasn’t able to get any sleep before lunch. Maybe lunch will be the thing to cheer me up? I got to the lunch room to find nasty slapped onto my tray.. shoulda stayed at the kindergarten! The worst part was that they didn't even serve a steamed roll so I couldn't go back to my room and make a peanut butter and honey sandwich... Grrrr.
I made my way back to my room and lay back down. I honestly thought about sending Lee a message saying that I was too under the weather to go practice but I didn't know how to tell him since he was teaching classes. Well, I guess it’s time to head down then. I rolled out of bed and changed into my uniform and drug myself to class. It’s a good thing that it’s all down stairs to get to class or that just might have stopped all forward progression! I walked in and sat down until it was my turn. I brought my uniform today to show Lee. He pointed to the door and said “good. Change” I pulled a “yes sir” and changed into my uniform. Today we had a break in between classes so I had a little more time to have Lee correct my technic and stances. He taught me a little “Chinese Kungfu” a part of a form which was killer on my legs with the deep stances my muscles have not seen in a few years but it was really fun because I felt like I had an actual class. He made me run up and down the room, kicks, and stretches etc. the basic warm up of a martial arts class. I was sweating bullets trying to keep up with him but I wasn't going to give up. Lee is like the Kungfu Michael Phelps in my book, he is a celebrity. I practiced and practiced and practiced but I had to cut it short so I could go to my room and change for calligraphy.
I ran upstairs feeling 100xs better. Oh my gosh I love Taekwondo. I love martial arts and I love what it does for me. I feel like a new person. I don't feel like crap anymore! In fact, I feel awesome! I am so thankful that I have an escape. I am so pumped about life and everything in it! Finally! I’m back! Muahahaha!!! I finally feel like me!!!
I headed to Calligraphy and got my stone! Candice gave us our stones from her Sister's husband and they are legit! Mark and I were pretty stoked about them! Mark and I were the only ones who came to calligraphy today so we got a little one on one time while we tried to paint our little chicks. Candice let me go free with my flower painting and I am starting to get the hang of it! Candice was impressed with my flower making abilities and said she would teach me how to paint open flowers next week! Wahoo! I’m graduating and moving on up in my calligraphy life!
I headed off to dinner which was way better than lunch
I spent the rest of the night hanging out in my room. I wrote in my journal and talked to Kelly on the phone for a while. Bruce, the P.E. Teacher invited me to go swimming with him and then next week, the principal, Equal, invited us kindergarten teachers and Kelly to go out and do something. We talked about that and all the crazy drama going on and she helped me feel a little better. Kelly is such a sweetheart. She is too silly to be my mom, but she is like the big sister I never had. I’m really going to miss that crazy lady when I go home.
I am feeling so much better tonight than I was this morning and I am SO stoked about it! Wahoo!! so much energy and so ready to go tomorrow!
