This is a Joke...right?

Tuesday 3-9-13
today I got up excited for the day because we are teaching at Dani. I headed down to the gate and saw Kelly walking up the steps. She stopped me and asked me if I would be available Sunday to climb a mountain with her and the teachers from the school with my head teachers Alicia and Susan and another Teacher Hannah. I was thankful for the invitation and told her to count me in!
I got to the gate and found Zoe waiting for me, I got in and sat there waiting Finally Zoe says only one teacher today? So I said yes. It’s just me sorry I forgot. And we drove to the school. We got to the school and I ran into the class room because we were late from waiting and I started teaching the 18 1st graders like I did last week! Whatever dude. I was about 10 min into my lesson when in comes Rachelle through the door. I just kept teaching though because it would take more time to split the classes up and move into a different room than to just teach them how I was. So that’s what I did. I made my lesson only 30min so Rachelle could teach the last 10min and then the kids left. I guess I could be annoyed or mad but to be honest, I don't care. After the lesson we went in different classrooms and I watched math and singing time. It was really interesting to see the way the kids are taught. When it was time for lunch they grabbed us and served us yet again, an awesome meal! They serve such great food at Dani its hard to not stuff myself to the point of pain!
We headed home and I talked to Moe for a little while before he went to bed. After I said bye to Moe I tried to take a nap myself but for some reason I have the worst time here getting myself to sleep. I think its because I am worried that if I sleep, I might miss something.
Sam came in the room and told me that she and Crista are going to the market if I want to come. We decided that we needed to get out of the house but didn't want to go too far or eat our cafeteria food and I am going to need to pay for my plane ticket for my next vacation to Xian so I needed to hit the ATM which is right next to the market. so we set our sights on the noodle house close by. We actually didn't know it existed until Luke pointed out how easy it is to spot them, you look at the sight that has green grass, a cow and a temple with the Chinese words. Ahhh. Good to know!

haha we were planning on about a 10 to 15 min walk because we would have had to wait another 45min for the bus to come. The walk isn't that bad but we were in the mood to get out of the house, not actually have to move our bodies more than we needed ;) so we hopped into our cars and cranked up the radio and drove to the noodle house... oh wait, that's right we have no cars or cell phones here. So we shall walk! We got to the gate and almost ready to cross the street when Sam and Crista saw a student that took them on a home visit last week. He was with his mom who took them and they were so excited to see each other. His mom found a man who spoke English who asked us where we were going, we told him just around the corner because we knew they probably wouldn't get “the noodle house”. The mom seemed to sort of get the idea of where we were going and then shooed us into her car and told us she wanted to give us a ride! So we hopped into the car and pointed to the noodle house and said thank you about a million times. The whole ride there Sams student was trying to give us his dinner and share anything he could. We found out that he got to leave to go to piano lessons and that’s why his mom could come pick him up. I am just amazed at how nice some of these people are. His mom never had to offer to give us a ride, she tried to give us food and during the home visit Crista and Sam went on, she would have bought them the whole store if they asked! I don't think there are very many people like that in America.
We went to the Noodle house and got some great food. But that’s to be expected who can go wrong with homemade noodles?? I have yet to have a gross plate from there. I am going to miss that place hard core when I get home. Anyone who can find a Muslim Chinese restaurant that makes their noodles close to my house will be my hero for life... just saying
We walked over to the Jiajiayue (the market/mall).

The three of us headed over there and got our money out of the ATM and then headed into the JaJa. There were some teachers that got some funny shirts last week that had some hard core Changlish. When I saw their shirts I was green with envy so I asked if we could check out the Changlish shirts to see if there were any good ones and thank goodness I was able to dig out two that I liked!

We got the rest of the stuff we came for and explored a little bit, then headed back home.
When we got home, we were getting ready for the next day when we decided to have an Ab workout session. I am a little worried I am going to get fat here with all the oil that they use in their food over here! :/ fingers crossed if I don't lose weight I can maintain what I came with!
