3- 8 – 13
We headed back upstairs and I took like a 30 min nap because I was bored. So I decided its time to go run! So I got all ready and Crista and Rachelle wanted to come and we asked around and Ben and Josh decided to come too but they told me to head down and get a few miles in first then they would join me because they think I am some great runner. Which im not. I just get lost in it and keep going I guess. So I headed down and got a few miles in and I wasn’t planning on a long run I was just thinking a small run is better than no run. And then the rest of the gang come down. Today was fun though because I put in one more mile before getting distracted. I saw a group of high school kids and decided I wanted to join in so I started playing their jump rope game. To be honest I have no idea what it was I just followed the person in front of me and I didn’t mess it up! Haha in fact they were cheering after I passed through the jump rope. So my long days out on the playground jump roping really did pay off :) after they were done I moved on and was jogging and then found my friend P.E. Teacher Bruce (the one who moved his class for me) and his group of kids. The younger 1st and 2nd graders and I stopped and said hello. He asked if I like running so I said yes I do and then he said swimming? And I said YES! And he said basketball? And I said. No Good. Hahaha I asked if he was the coach and he said no, table tennis. Ping pong coach! Hahaha so legit! So I decided I wanted to keep playing jump rope so I hopped in line with the little girls and they LOVED it. Haha Teacher teacher come here! Teacher teacher stand by me!
I had a head phone in so then they say teacher teacher what song you listen to?? and took those suckers right out of my ears and put them in theirs and they got passed around to everyone haha I kept jump roping and I didnt mess it up! Yes! Teacher Teacher! Very good! Awe shucks ;) after that I was done running etc. so I headed back up stairs. I took down some stuff that the previous teachers put up on the wall and cleaned up a bit and then I showered. Yes I did I took a shower... a cold one. I couldn’t wait any more I stunk and everyone was talking about going out to the city tonight so I couldn’t do that after dinner because my hair needs time to dry so I sucked it up and hosed down. It wasn’t that bad but you can imagine how mad I was when I accidentally put shampoo on my head for the second time instead of conditioner... drat. Leave it to me! Haha o well. I got all dressed etc and the girls still weren’t back so I bounced from room to room and talked to people and worked on some lesson plans and names for my kids until dinner time and the girls had come back so I went to dinner and because its friday all the little ones went home and we ate with the older kids and the food was really good! I have no clue what it was but it was yummy! We all wanted to go out to kareokee but lesson plans were due and some had procrastinated SO, we were all scrambling to do that and got them all done. I only had to plan my ELE lesson which is my friday class where I have to lecture. . Just talk, how hard could that possibly be?? ;) well we all got done but not soon enough for the bus to still be running (it stops at 6:15.. lame) we were still going to go but some didn't want to walk. I was down with it but I was one of the rare few so we just decided to stay home and we watched the Bachelor the episode.
So background real quick, the kids at this school have uniform jump suits that are navy and have the logo for the school etc. I love them soo much! And I kept saying I am going to jump a little kid and steal their jacket. Totally joking of course. That would be awkward to explain … “so.. uh... I really liked the jacket?” anyways, there is this kid Luke here that has come to china before. He came walking into our room while watching bachelor and threw something at my face that just so happened to be the Jacket I was going to beat up a student for!!! WOOT WOOT! Yes, I gave him a hug and he might have gotten put on my good list because of it. I really did want one. Haha any ways, we have a pretty crazy day tomorrow. Every one except my Kindergarten group is going on what’s called “home Visits” I call them hometown dates but thats just me. But a few of our students parents volunteer to take one or two of us teachers and take us around town for the day. I was totally Stoked for that but we can't go because we have our banquet thingy tomorrow. I hope its not too scary.
