Picture Perfect !!

my First day of school !

3 – 12- 13
words cant describe how I feel right now. Today could not have gone any better! So we got up today and got all ready and Rachelle and I went down 30min early haha... anxious much?? good thing the guards at the gate to get in are nice and let us camp out in their little look out thingy cuz it is windy, cold, and wet. But no worries. That didnt get me down. Nope. I am teaching today! We waited and waited and the rest of the group came down including the head teachers but no Kelly yet, then finally she calls and tells us that she is running late. So we went back into the guards little building thingy and it was cool to see there are cameras everywhere! so kelly showed up and we met her outside and we are thinking we are going to be going in one of hose slightly creepy yet convenient van/bus thingys ( ill try to get a picture of one soon) but that was until a cute little car pulled up and a cute little chinese lady came over and ushered us 4 teachers into the car and then kelly and the head teachers went in her car! The school isnt far. But I also found out that this is going to be hannah and Maddie's school and this kindergarten/preschool is like ocean Pearl and has two locations but the one location isnt done with registration so Rachelle and I will go there next week so for today Rachelle and I will teach together and Maddie and Hannah will teach together. Whatevs we get to teach and thats all I care about! So we drive for maybe 3 min and we pull up to a building and walk inside to meet Darling. That is her English name and  she is DARLING! She is the MOST energetic and happy woman I have EVER met! She was like a puppy dog waiting at the door for you to come in. I have never ever been greeted be someone with that much enthusiasm in my life! I  love her! She is so adorable! This school could not have been more perfect. Seriously, the kids came in and we sat them down and we got them to talk and they were respectful and I have fallen in love, these little kids will forever have a place in my heart! Their cute giggles. And “uh o!” when the ball rolled off the table. I will never forget these guys. Ever. The teachers were just as excited as Darling was and I couldn’t stop smiling! My face hurts and I smile a lot. But nothing could prepare me for this. The environment, the energy, the kids! It couldn’t have gone any better! Our head teachers said that we did really well, Rachelle and I. But I swear it wasn’t our teaching. It was our class. I am so

 excited! Every Tuesday we will go to Dani Kindergarten and as of now. It will be my favorite day of the week! These kids have never been taught English before so not only are we their first english words but we get to give them their english names so they are pretty much ours! Haha dont tell their parents I said that ;) we taught 3 classes and then they had us all go into a bunch of rooms and say hello to all the adorable kids!

 The last room was filled with kids we just taught and they were so excited to see us! They all ambushed us with the biggest group hug ive ever participated in let alone been in the middle of! Then we got to spend about 20 min just laughing and playing with the kids. LOVE! This one boy in particular, his name is Blake, he walked right up to me took my hand and sat me in his seat and sat on my lap and was so content haha he is so cute though he captured my heart! He is more of the shy ones but adorable nonetheless! I taught him and Jacob high five and pound it and added out own explosion to it ;) I adore these kids to no end. Like seriously love them.
After we said goodbye and I collected all my stickers and drawings etc we headed back down to Darling's office and she brought in a table and chairs. She let us know that normally we can eat lunch with our kids but we were later than usual so its their nap time. But she said she heard kelly say that we like dumplings so she prepared them just for us. And there were delicious!

 

 We had dumplings and chicken on a stick thingy and spinach with sliced fruit and a whipped cream like substance over it!!! it was soooo good!! she even told us that if there is something we want to eat to tell her and she will prepare it for us! Oh my gosh she is a doll! Darling doesn’t have the best english but boy was she excited when we could understand and talk with her!!! like I said before. I have never met a woman as excited and enthusiastic as her. I have high expectations for the rest of the people I meet. Holy cow she is … Darling.
We also ate with her college who we later names Janette and boy does she love that name! She was so excited when we gave it to her.

Blake and ME !

 I wish there were words for how awesome those hours were. My face hurts from smiling and I am so happy to have been in this group. I am so thankful its beyond words! I have to be careful to not brag too much to my groupies but in a way its easy because I cant find the words to say how happy I am to be in this spot. I love my students and I love my life!
I know that not every school may be like this but I am so lucky to have at least one school like this. AH!!! I am just so happy!
By the time we got back it was raining pretty hard so I hurried and got my running stuff on and just put in a mile on the track and then got some water for our room. That thing weighs so much its like a large child... so we named it. Yupp. This water jugs name is Betty. ;) don’t judge just laugh cuz you know it cool.
