we got off there and headed off the flight. i found myself following/ walking around with sam, mark, talon and kristen. we found our gate (or so we thought) but we had 5 hours so we walked around and settled with a Burger King. one last american meal right? hahaha Any one who knows me now knows that i have kinda turned into a healthy food nut and try to eat healthy unless iim craving a greasy something, i can't gag it down. So at that point, BK did not sound good at all. probably with nerves and stress and just everything i was doing nothing would have sounded good to me but i knew i had a long flight ahead of me so i should get SOME food in me. so i got some fries. trying to think that the salt may help calm my stomach in case i do start feeling sick. 5 hours is a long time in an airport. We sat in the same BK benches for the next 4hours chatting about everything and anything getting to know each other. we decided to head to our gate... haha we got there and something did not feel right. we tried to talk to the lady at the desk boarding the 11:00 flight to Korea with Korean Air but she was too busy with that to help us (our flight left at 12:00) so we decided to walk around to figure it out. our flight wasnt on the Gate board and we thought maybe after the 11:00 flight ours would take its place but its the wrong airlines. we were going on Asianic air and nothing was there. so we proceeded to walk to the opposite end of the airport. found that we had walked out of security and had to go back through. after i got my hands swabbed and padded down... AGAIN. we followed one mans directions to the opposite end of the airport and got there 11:30 and found our group and the head teacher of our group. we had to change out boarding passes and got ours for that flight and the one for china and were told that they would transfer our luggage to china for us! i had mixed emotions. yes we wouldnt have to do the whole checkin pick up thing again but then... thats a real easy way to get lost luggage... O WELL no sense in stressing now. whats done is done and i have a beast of a flight ahead of me! so i hurry and text or email my parents tell them adios and turn off my phone. last of my cell service for the next 4 months! i was also told that my blog and gmail wont work because it is based off of google... UGHHHHH but mom was good and helped me figure things out just in case.
the plane ride was good! i sat Window. with Sam (girl sam not the one in my San Fran group) and then Mark was aisle. Mark is the tallest of the group. 6 ft 4 and went to chile on his mission. reminds me a lot like my dad. i could lean up against the window to sleep! the flight? not bad at all the three of us played 5 corwns and spot it ( some games i brought) i watched movies, and i slept alot and they served us two meals that were... airplane food but they gave me fruit and i LOVE fruit so i was more than happy with that arrangement. when we got off the plane i knew it was Korea. the sounds, smells, sight, everything brought my memories back of Korea before. This is where we met up with all but one of the rest of the group and some were not lucky enough to get their luggage transferred over so they had to get there luggage and we had to find them ... grrr. i was so flipping excited to be in Korea i was wide awake, full of energy and happy as a clown! every one must have thought i was a freak cuz i didnt mind the flight one bit either! WAHOO! i was pumped! so we (talon Mark Sam (San Fran Group) exchanged some of our money to Korean and we finally got put onto our shuttle to our hotel which was ... IN DOWNTOWN SEOUL!!! YES!!! so we get in and get our keys etc and the hotel is AMAZING we dumped our Stuff and we went out because lucky for us our hotel was in the middle of some sort of new year morket/ festival so we were able to go across the street and experience Korea to its finest!
