well I'm here

Next morning We got to the air port and got to our gate but of course not before I had my bag searched. Maybe the TSA of Korea wanted some Twizzlers? The flight to china was “ding ding how” (very very good... My chinese at the finest) it was only 45min ! We got off and got our luggage and went through the easiest customs ever. We just put our stuff into one of those big x ray machines then walked over and pulled it out, put it on the cart and walked out! Woot Woot! Didn't even get searched! :0 ( that was after they checked and stamped my passport) I have decided if I ever own a country the passport stamp will be legit. None of this boring stuff.

our room.....

The bathroom /shower ?

We drove 1.5 hours to our school and its no joke when they say it was Built on a hill... 200 steps to get up. Carrying 50lb luggage... sweet mother of pearls. Why me?? Sam and I were put together for the rooming assignments! Then we sarted our trek equivalence journey up the 10 flights of stairs to get to our rooms which are on the 5th floor of the building... At least I know there is no way I can get away with no exercise on this excursion! Well we got an hour or so to unpack and take in our new living accommodations... long story short.. not ideal, but doable... I think.

Right as we got back for dinner we got pulled together as a group and were told that tommorrow at 5:00am we were getting up and we had a vacation to Beijing!  it would be a 4 day trip all for a cheap price! I wanted to be excited I really did but I had just UN packed everything I needed to Repack and in the last 78 hours had only had about 5 hours of sleep on a mattress. But this is what I came for adventure and to see all these places! I mean honestly I can't complain I am in freaking China! However, its not entirely easy. I struggle with unsanitary digestive procedures which I found out is most definitely custom in my new home... for example, ALL items used while disposing waste are to NEVER touch the water in the bowl... so yes. Toilet paper used to wipe your bum bum or  (which must be supplied by me as tissues in travel packets because TP is not commonly used in China) still goes in the trash.. say whaa?? you better believe it! Yikes. The water from the fausett is not for your insides either. Definitely not. So all my bottles water is used to brush teeth wash up etc. as well. I am so thankful for hand sanitizer. Thankfully, we have water that is supplied to us if we go get it from a building and bring it up the 5 flights of stairs. I cant tell you exactly where it is because we were blessed to have 7 very chivalrous guys in our group whom after helping us bring up luggage brought all the rooms water as well. I am very thankful for them.
